Handmade: I Love You So Much Card
My hubby and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary (!!!) this weekend :) I, of course, wanted to make him a card and knew that it had to include confetti. So I made up a cut file and cut it out on my Silhouette, attached a clear transparency with adhesive, and then sewed it to a piece of kraft cardstock - I put the confetti in after sewing up three sides and then sewed it shut :)

Christmas Confetti Cards
I recently shared a DIY for these Mini MiniBooks and they were popular in my shop, so I decided to do a Holiday Edition. I had a customer ask if I could create just a 3"x4" Confetti Card, like the cover of the Mini MiniBook. So I did! :) These are much like my Confetti Windows that have been a super popular item in my shop (only these are sewn to paper), and like the covers to a lot of my wedding books over the years.... just smaller :) These are perfect for PL. Perfect. So all you PL'ers - these little cuties are now available in my shop :)

In other news:
+ I will be making more of the regular (Non-Holiday) Mini MiniBooks and putting them in the shop later this week -- these are perfect stocking stuffers, and they are $10, shipped :)
+ Be on the lookout for a Black Friday coupon code this week. Get some of your holiday shopping done in your PJ's, in the comfort of your home :)
+ Thank you all so, so much for reading here and for your support with my shop. My family and I are grateful! Thank you!!

Mini MiniBooks: Holiday Edition
I made a few more of the Mini MiniBooks using Holiday scrapbooking papers. I have a bunch of vintage Christmas cards and children's books (damaged, but some pages were salvageable!), and included those in each of the books :) Super easy to make yourself - think old Christmas cards, or wrapping paper adhered to cardstock, a couple sheets of Christmas-y paper, and cardstock and you'll have a lovely little book to jot holiday notes and memories in. These are also available in my shop.

DIY: Mini MiniBooks
I have a ton of paper scraps laying around (yes, I have a paper problem ;)) from various projects. I also have a ton of Project Life cards that I've collected over time (at this point, I do not do Project Life - I reallllly want to try it come January 1. I love the idea of it. Love it). So what better to do than put them into a little album?! I made these up over the course of 36 hours and love them. I put these in my shop, but plan on making a few more for family and friends for Christmas. Perfect to throw in your purse or bag and jot a note or thought.
Any types of paper would do - old junk mail envelopes deconstructed and cut down, card stock or scrapbooking paper (if you have a local craft store, you would only need a few sheets -- you can get 12 pages out of one 12"x12" piece of scrapbooking paper. Use some chipboard (or cut down a cereal box :)), and finish off with binder rings (available at office supply stores - or I have some available in my shop here), or use ribbon! Voila! A cute little book that's fun to jot in :)

I updated the shop a little while ago and have some fun new journals and embellishments now available, as well as an I Love You Journal and a few baby journals (both were semi-retired, I found these in the depths of my workspace during a clean out :)). Go here to check out the new goodies.

Wedding Book: Florence and Maxime
I recently finished this wedding book and shipped it off to Belgium :) (Tis the season for weddings! Yesterday I shared about another wedding keepsake journal that I also recently completed :)) The bride's colors are pink, dark pink, light grey and dark grey. They are using pink Gerbera daisies as their flowers and wanted to incorporate that into the book. Simple and elegant - I love how this book turned out also :)
Thank you Florence and Maxime for letting me create your wedding journal :) Congratulations on your upcoming marriage :)

wedding planning journal: crystal and paul
I recently had the privilege to put together this "wedding planning and memento" journal for a sweet lady in Ireland - Anita. She wanted the journal so she could document the wedding planning with her son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
She wanted the journal fun, pink and pretty :) I've never put together a pink and girly journal - so it was fun to coordinate a bunch of different papers, envelopes, and embellished pages. I made a "confetti page" instead of a confetti window - I sewed the clear window material directly to a glitter cardstock page. LOVE it (will definitely be exploring this concept more with other projects ;)).
I used my Silhouette to cut out a few pages of "key places" in the couple's story - where they are each from and where they met.
I also used a doily, baker's twine, ribbon, tulle, diecuts and other things to embellish the pages.
I love how it turned out. I love how I made a new friend halfway across the world via our back and forth convos about the book :) Thanks so much, Anita! SO great to work with you on this book and am thankful to have "met" you :)

vacation travel journal
We are on a family vacation this week in the Outer Banks, NC :) I threw this little travel journal together last minute (as in, the morning we left... yes, I like to plan ahead. Ha! ;)) and am using it to document our trip. As usual, I am journaling throughout the trip and will fill it with pictures when we return and I am able to have them printed.
For the cover, I used a vintage map of the North Carolina coast (that shows the Outer Banks where we are!), vintage ledger, some Studio Calico paper and foam letters and paper from the packaging. Inside is solid colored cardstock, a lot of paper from Studio Calico's new line "Atlantic" and some other papers.

paper scrapping
I have a ton of paper scraps all over the place in my workspace. Leftovers from other projects that are still perfectly usable, just not big enough for journal pages, etc. I've been working on a few Everyday journals. And the covers. Oh, the covers (which I've said before), are the hardest part ;) Well. I had been thinking about how I could use up all of these scraps in my scrapbox(es)..... How could I incorporate them into the cover? How about a collage?! Yes! :) So I started with a 4"x6" base piece of paper and started stacking scraps (and some doilies and tags ;)) on top. Sewed them on there and voila! Some fun new journals covers. Now to punch holes and add them to the journals. Yay for using up scraps :)

a wedding book
I recently had the opportunity to create another wedding book for a sweet bride and groom :) They are using this book as a scrapbook from their special day - their wedding was full of lots of yellow, colors, and skeleton keys! Looking through their wedding pictures, I loved how they incorporated the skeleton keys into their welcome bags for guests (gorgeous yummy-looking cookies in the shape of keys!), wedding favors, and other details from the day. I knew I needed to incorporate a key into the book and was glad to have found this antique key to use on the front :)
I also found some paper that had skeleton keys all over it :) So I used that with a bunch of other colorful papers for the inside pages. I left all of the pages blank, but included lined and blank white pages for them to put where needed in the book as they are filling it up. I'm super happy with how it turned out and am excited they will be documenting their wedding with lots of pictures and lots of journaling :)
Thank you Jen and Rick for letting me create a wedding book
to help document your special day :)

working on
I'm currently working on a few different projects here and there - including a custom wedding book, some new shop items (!!!), and decorating my baby girl's nursery (yes, it's taken me awhile ;)). I made this fun garland of new and vintage papers over the course of several days and can't wait to hang it up in her room :)
It was super easy to make - I recently purchased a pennant flag punch, so I used that (I debated using the flag punch or the circle punch... the flag punch won :)) to punch a bunch of flags out of various papers and then strung them together using a 1/16" hole punch, a needle, and baker's twine. I love the mix of new and vintage papers :)

a wedding book: bright and happy
I recently had the privilege to create another wedding book for a lovely couple in France. Their colors are bright and beautiful and it was fun working all of the colors into the book :) I was torn on the cover idea, so I created two ;) This way, the couple can choose which they prefer - washi tape or a cute little paper pinwheel :)
Thank you Maud and Damien for letting me create your wedding book for your special day! :)
