Mini Album for a Mini Getaway Vacation

My husband and I will be taking a much needed mini-vacation next week to a cute and cozy cabin in Newland, North Carolina. My in-laws have graciously offered to care for our wonderful almost-2-year-old son for two nights.

I love to get ideas from all the fabulous and talented scrapbookers out there, and one I learned from scrapbooking extraordinaire Ali Edwards was to create a mini album
before you leave for your trip so you can document as you go. You can see her page here. What a great idea! I worked last night and the night before on putting together some paper, envelopes and embellishments I had lying around. I went to Wal-Mart and got a half yard of plastic material (the kind you use on tables, or to protect furniture) to use as a cover. It was fun to put randomness together and I am excited to journal in it on our trip and add pictures after we return home. I will post an update with pictures and journaling in the album once it is finished.

Coming tomorrow: Recipe Friday (The first one!)
Have a great day!

  3. Verlangende_ liefde-- The rings are called binder rings- you can usually find them at an office supply store. I hope this helps! :)
