Blondies. These are F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and warm caramel ice cream topping drizzled on top. Yum!
2/3 cup butter
2 Tbsp. hot water
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup chocolate chips
In a good sized saucepan, melt butter. Add water and brown sugar. Cool for 20 minutes.
Add eggs and vanilla. Blend well. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to egg/sugar mixture. Mix well and add nuts (if desired).
Spread into a greased 9x13 baking pan or dish. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool slightly. Cut into squares.
These will be chewy in the center, don't over bake!
