I found this delightful recipe in one of my cookbooks. It's a wonderful comfort food and a perfect way to use up leftovers of a store-bought rotisserie chicken. Yum!

Savory Chicken Crescent Squares

3-oz. pg. Cream cheese, softened
3 Tbsp. Butter, softened
2 cups Chicken, cooked and diced
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Pepper
2 Tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Minced onion
8-oz. pkg. Crescent rolls
1 Tbsp. Butter, melted
3/4 cup Seasoned croutons, crushed

Cream together cream cheese and 3 Tbsp. softened butter. Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk and onion and mix well.

Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles. Press perforations firmly to seal.

Spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture into center of each rectangle. Pull corners of dough to top and twist slightly. Seal edges.

Arrange in small rectangular baking dish. Brush tops with 1 Tbsp. melted butter. Sprinkle with crushed croutons.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
