So I haven't had much time to work on new tutorials or work on tutorials I've found online, so we'll save Tuesday Tutorial until hopefully next week :) I've been super busy with a ton of custom orders for Quilted List Takers, Snap Pouches and Christmas Journals/Kits. It's been so much fun to work on all of these and get them ready for their new homes!
I purchased a shoe organizer (compliments of my wonderful parents, thanks mom and dad :)) to organize all of my fabric. My sweet mother-in-law sent me a ton of fabric she found at a quilting shop while she and my father-in-law were on vacation in Hilton Head - Thanks Katie :) It was so fun to see the types of patterns and colors she picked out. I was thinking that it would be fun to give my sister $20 and go to JoAnn and let her pick out as much fabric as she can and see what she picks out (next time she's in town).
So anyways, now (most) all of my fabric is washed, dried, ironed, folded neatly and organized by color and/or project type. Still have a few remnants to sort, but *Phew* It feels so much better to not have it all sitting in a box piled up.
These shoe organizers are great and could serve a bunch of purposes- organizing outgoing orders and packages from your online shop, organizing paper, embellishments, accessories, etc. They are relatively inexpensive - This one was at Target for $30.00.
Have a happy Tuesday! :)
That is a genius idea. I love it... I might have to invest in something myself.
