Happy Easter! :) I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and enjoying time with family and/or friends and a little bit of time off! :) I am super excited to spend some time with my hubby’s sweet family today- enjoying time together, eating, and probably doing some Easter egg hunting :)

As I mentioned on Friday, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I wanted to share a little more about what this special day - Easter - means to me :) For me, Easter week is very significant because it is the celebration of what Jesus has done to reconnect us with God. We are disconnected from Him because we are imperfect (sinful) while He is perfect. I very much enjoy all of the fun elements that surround Easter such as colorful eggs and baby chicks and such! We colored eggs with our son yesterday (see some fun photos below:)) and gave him a fun basket full of goodies. But Easter’s deeper significance is that God, who created the earth and all of it’s inhabitants- became His creation- a man (fully God and fully man), lived a perfect life, then died on a Roman Cross (which is what is remembered by Christ’s followers on Good Friday) and was risen from the dead on Sunday (celebrated as Easter). He did this that we could all be reconnected to Him!

I realize that everyone who reads and follows my blog does not believe as I do. It is a beautiful thing that we can all share across the world in creative and fun ways through blogs. And you all inspire me with your ideas and comments much more than you could ever know!! I feel like I would not be genuine if I did not share this part of who I am with those (all of you fabulous people!!) that I share so much.

I am so glad to have this blog to share paper, fabric, creative and inspiring ideas and recipes with all of you! And I am truly thankful for how I am continually learning from and being inspired by all of you amazing people out there in blogland :) Thanks for reading, adding to my life and this blog with your ideas, comments and emails-- I love, love, love hearing from you :)

Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions or thoughts! :)

A couple of spring photos from our everyday happenings this week :)
My sweet son (Jimmy aka Jimster, Jimbuddy, etc ;)) and I planted some wildflowers in pots this week (Uhh, please don't notice the mess that is our front yard... we've been {*cough* my husband has been...ahem ;)} working on reseeding a huge area that was a disaster when we moved into our house a year ago. All of that dirt was completely overcome by the biggest out-of-control holly bushes you've ever seen ;).... it's slowly but surely starting to look a lot better :)).
In less than a week's time, these little seeds have sprouted into cute little plants. Jimmy and I look at them on the back porch and water them everyday :)
So much fun dying Easter eggs yesterday.... there was dye EVERYWHERE by the time we got finished (except on our clothes, thankfully). Good thing we did it outside :)

I'm so excited to have shared a little more of what I believe with you as well as a glimpse into my sweet family's day-to-day over the past several days :) I plan to be sharing more about my fam and day-to-day happenings here and there! I have been so inspired by some bloggers I have just discovered as well as some I frequent that share about who they are, what they're all about and what fuels their creativity.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend! Happy Easter :)
