  2. I love it! By the way, where do you obtain all of your papers? Do you just collect bits and pieces as you go or purchase bulks online?

    Blessings,

    1. Thanks Grace! :) I obtain most of my vintage papers here and there - Goodwill, antique shops, consignment shops, yard sales, ebay, etsy. With the new papers, I am always looking for office-ey papers at office shops or big box stores, and the scrapbooking papers I order online or purchase from a local scrapbooking shop. The black and white checkered wax paper in these journals are actually from a local sandwich shop that we frequent a lot and we asked them for a few sheets (unused of course ;)) and they happily obliged :) I am always on the lookout for interesting "papers" that could be incorporated into journals, even if that's not necessarily what they are intended for (read: wax paper from a sandwich shop ;)).

  3. I love this journal!! You did such a nice job and I absolutely love the way you did your cover....did you just adhere paper strips to a transparency? If so how did you attach the strips so the adhesive doesn't show? Thanks, Jenny

    1. Thanks Jenny! :) Yes, I adhered the strips to the transparency page with Tombow rolling adhesive-- I rolled the adhesive on the strips first, and then fixed them to the transparency :)

  4. That journal is really lovely!! I can imagine the future owner of this journal getting all happy every time they write into it because things like these make every day life a little more nicer and prettier. And I love the sandwich paper!

  8. New reader here. I'm loving your blog. This idea for your journals is such an amazing inspiration. I, too, have tons of papers, envelopes, and odds-n-ends that I have been collecting with no clue of what to do with them. Ta-dah, now I do. Yay. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and projects. You are very gifted. I'll look forward to reading your blog in the future. If you have an email/newsletter you send out, can you please add me to your list (mobile doesn't show me links very well)? It is Del Marie Riley, delmarieriley@yahoo.com. Thanks again.
