Five Faves

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend-- very, very hot, though! I can feel our energy bill going up every time the AC cuts on ;) We went to a few yardsales in our neighborhood and found some fun things for Jimmy-- a big "Car" pillow (there was no way we were leaving that particular yardsale once he saw it), as well as a play guitar (he LOVES all sorts of music, just like his daddy). I love going to yardsales (who doesn't?!)-- you never know what you're going to find! :)

Well, Monday means "Five Faves" - so here they are! I'm trying to get a diverse group of favorites together each week- like fun decorative items, paper items, items having to do with fabric, vintage items, and this week- a digital "item".

1. Animal Alphabet Silkscreen Poster by petitcollage. I don't know why, but I love alphabets! There is so much you can do with an alphabet- creatively speaking; scrapbook ideas, minialbum ideas -- and of course, who doesn't want a creative way to teach their child the alphabet (We're still working on it in our house).

2. Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson. I stumbled across this book at The Purl Bee blog and instantly became a fan. "The book—designed for use by both first-time and longtime quilters—features 30 patchwork and quilted projects organized according to the amount of time it takes to complete them: less than 2 hours, 2 to 4 hours, 4 to 8 hours, 8 to 12 hours, and 12 hours or more. The gifts are inspired by Amish, Appalachian, and Japanese quilting traditions, among others, and range from easy pillowcases and covered scrapbooks to simplified (but heirloom-worthy) log cabin and crazy quilts. Hoverson also shares an overview of her approach to color as well as the tools and techniques she used to complete the projects in the book. " (Amazon.com)

3. Places We Go Mini Album by evalicious. Cute little mini album perfect for documenting a trip!

4. Set of 5 Strawberry Basket Napkins from entwife. Cute vintage strawberry napkins. I'm thinking they would look perfect on my kitchen table. Strawberries are a fave in our house, and are a must have all summer long.

5. Dafont.com This website has almost 9000 FREE fonts available for download. Great place to find a cool new font!
Have a great day! Happy Spring!
