Trying to think of a unique wedding gift...

My little sister's wedding is this weekend, and as far as all the stuff I've been working on, it's almost done! The programs are all printed, I just need to finish them (scoring the middle and trimming the edges), the place cards are printed (save one sheet, made a mistake printing one and now I have to run to the store to buy more sheets), and now just need to print the table numbers. I'm so glad I got to do all this for her, but will be glad when there's a final product to see. :)

On a different note, I've been trying to think of a unique, fun, but practical wedding gift. I've been jotting down ideas here and there in my idea book and on scraps of paper. I finally came up with the idea to do note cards. I mean, who doesn't ever need blank note cards? Then I had to decide what kind of note cards. And then I thought, "Why not make a bunch of different kinds? So, I've started working on a few when I have a spare moment (which is not a lot when you have a 2 year old ;0)). My goal is to get 20 note cards made before I leave Thursday morning. Today is Tuesday. We'll see if that goal gets met or if I end up settling for 10 ;o).

I used store-bought white note cards as the base, so they came with matching envelopes.
For these, I used buttons, flower die-cuts and colored pens.

These are fabric covered-- plain ol' cotton fabric attached by spay adhesive (very sticky and very permanent- had quite a lot of mishaps with these two- they might be the only fabric covered ones I make ;0)).

  1. oo very cool idea! My sister does the stampin up stuff and I love making cards to give to people. You can always use them for something!
