All images from *The Shabby Chic Cottage*

I recently found this fab tutorial over at *The Shabby Chic Cottage* about how to create a lamp and shade that looks very similar to a very expensive Pottery Barn lamp and shade. $159.00 expensive. Um. No, thank you. That is equivalent to most of my grocery budget for one month! Oh my!

She explains how she made this beautiful lamp and shade for about $10.00. Um. Yes, please! :) And, it's handmade! There's something about seeing a piece of furniture or decor item in your home or space that you've put time, effort, and love into.
